You may be asking yourself, what small changes can I make to my home that will make the biggest impact? This is a question I find myself asking every year after the holiday season. And it makes sense. We’ve spent our life savings over the holidays only to find ourselves undecorating from the holidays and not loving what we’re left with.
So how can you make small changes to your home that won’t break the bank?
Here’s how we changed this foyer in two days with only a sample jar of paint from Sherwin Williams ($11). This area wasn’t bad, it just needed something. By adding a bold touch of green paint we were able to make a big impact in this space.
The addition of wireless a picture lamp and beautiful framed photo took this area in the home to the next level.
how to Notice where your home could use updating
When you walk through your home notice small areas where you can add paint or maybe wallpaper to draw the eye to that area and to add a touch of personality. This will help you when deciding what small changes you can make to make the biggest design impact. I love doing this in small nooks, on walls that have an interesting shape (think staircase, curved walls etc) and the back wall of built-ins.
I really love paint for big impact, low budget projects (read: Simple Home Refresh With Paint). And obviously I’m really loving deep green paint. Click here for my top designer paint colors and the paint used in this project.
