Pink Himalayan Sugar Salt Scrub is everything especially now that we’re heading into the warmer months. There are a lot of things to love about this diy sugar scrub, one being you can make it at home using only a few ingredients!

Before we jump into the how, let’s get into the why. Besides making your skin super soft this diy salt scrub has so many other benefits.

While a temporary “fix”, sugar & salt scrubs can minimize the appearance of cellulite. The sugar and Himalayan salt exfoliates dead skin cells, smoothing out the surface of the skin. The oils in the scrub are then able to absorb into the skin giving it a smoother more moisturized appearance. Additionally when we {gently} scrub the skin we stimulate circulation which in turn gives our skin a fresh plump look.
HIMALAYAN Sugar SCRUBS MOISTURIZE SKIN
The texture of the sugar and salt exfoliates away dead skin cells leaving behind dewy glowing skin. Now who doesn’t want that?! Additionally, when you use an exfoliator on your skin, like a sugar scrub, it unclogs your pores which can lead to clearer skin. why add essential oils to Sugar Scrubs
Essential oils have so many benefits for our health and wellbeing. They’re especially good at calming skin. Lavender essential oil is great at calming not only the skin but also the senses. Try adding 15 to 20 drops in your sugar scrub. For my recipe I chose grapefruit essential oil which is excellent for clearing skin. Plus the smell is so invigorating and refreshing, perfect for summertime!

WHERE TO BUY HIMALAYAN PINK SALT
These days you can find pink salt almost anywhere. For this recipe I recommend fine ground Himalayan pink salt as it’s gentler on the skin. And remember you can use any leftover salt in your kitchen. Himalayan pink salt is a great alternative to traditional white table salt because it contains more minerals.

DIY Sugar Salt Scrub
How to make a sugar scrub
- Mixing Bowl
- Glass container with lid to store the scrub
- 1/2 cup Ground Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1/4 cup Liquid Coconut Oil
- 20 drops Essential Oils (I used grapefruit)
Add salt and sugar to the mixing bowl
Drop essential oils into the liquid coconut oil and stir to combine
Pour the coconut oil mixture into the salt and sugar mixture
Stir all ingredients until well combined
Store in a jar with a lid and use as needed for soft glowing skin
