Elderberry Syrup Recipe
During the fall and winter our family goes through a lot of elderberry syrup (check out my ELDERBERRY SYRUP RECIPE here). My kids absolutely love elderberry syrup, but it can be a little messy which is why I like to make these elderberry gummies. Plus the gummies are super cute and fun for the kids.
What is Elderberry Syrup
I’ve talked about Elderberry Syrup here before and for good reason. Elderberries are jam packed with antioxidants and vitamins that can give your immune system a major boost. So much so that elderberry extracts and flower infusions have been shown to help reduce the severity and length of influenza (source).
How to make elderberry Gummies
To make the elderberry gummies you first want to make the elderberry syrup (ELDERBERRY SYRUP RECIPE). This recipe makes enoug syrup for a few batches of gummies. I will make the syrup, then make about 24 gummies and keep the rest of the syrup in the fridge. That way my husband and I can drink the syrup and use it to make more gummies as needed. Once you have the elderberry syrup made you can follow the recipe below to make your gummies.
how to store elderberry gummies
Store your elderberry gummies and syrup in the fridge. The gummies will last about a week or two in an airtight container while the syrup keeps longer (assuming you don’t drink it all first!). Oh annndd I’ve included a FREE LABEL for your jar! My kids eat 1-2 elderberry gummies a day and I give them a few extra if their immune system is trying to fight something.

pro tip
Please please please make sure you oil your gummy molds thouroughly. I’ve had too many headless gummy bears to go without mentioning this. The gummy molds are very detailed and TINY. Siblings fighting over the bear with all its ears is not a situtation you want to find yourself in, trust me 😉
