
Are you having trouble finding joy? I’d venture to say that you’re not alone. Actually, I can without a doubt say that you’re not alone. Yesterday, like many days in recent months, I had to give myself a pep talk. You know the one that goes a little something like ‘everything is going to be alright, deep breaths.’
I don’t know about you, but these days I’ve had more of those moments than ever in my life. Although, yesterday was different. I had a moment driving through the Malibu Canyons seeing all the wonders of God’s creation. I was struck with a flood of gratitude and could see clearly some of the lessons that this tough season is producing. While hard (like so so hard- moms I see you) I truly believe we’re walking through darkness into light. But how do we find joy when life kinda feels, well…gross?
For me it’s cultivating joy in tiny intentional pockets- like a morning walk with our family (I love these creative walk ideas on PBS.com), filling my diffusers with happy blends, making a special drink like this matcha latte, putting flower arrangements around the house and connecting with YOU! Every time I intentionally create special moments, even the with the smallest action, it helps bring joy and raise my vibration.
